Mademoiselle Privé Tokyo October 20, 2019 Fashion, Videos 6 CHANEL unveiled the fifth chapter of the “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition at the B&C Hall-Tennoz in Tokyo. After London in 2015, Seoul in 2017, Hong Kong in 2018 and Shanghai in April 2019, the “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition is making a stopover in this city for an exceptional journey into the most intimate sphere at 31, rue Cambon: Mademoiselle Chanel’s apartment. Through a revisited and exclusive scenography, the exhibition puts into perspective the creative work that goes on behind the Studio door marked with the words “Mademoiselle Privé”, and the imagination expressed behind the mirrored door of the apartment, that have, in Tokyo, become one and the same intimate space, exalting CHANEL’s designs from its three original creative worlds: Haute Couture, forever synonymous with the essence of the House and reinvented for every collection by Karl Lagerfeld and now Virginie Viard, the legendary perfume N°5 that was created in 1921, and High Jewelry with the reedition of “Bijoux de Diamants”, Gabrielle Chanel’s one and only collection designed in 1932. To enhance the visitors’ experience CHANEL launched a dedicated new “CHANEL official” Line account, a minisite and an app under the name of “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition on which they can upon registration receive and enjoy various information and content. Following a private viewing and a cocktail, guests celebrated the opening in a setting created especially for the evening at the Warehouse S, with live performances by House ambassador Pharrell Williams, Japanese singer Rina Sawayama and DJ sets by House ambassador and Korean model Soo Joo Park and by Mike Larson. Guests attending the opening night included CHANEL local ambassadors: Nana Komatsu, Ayami Nakajo and Koki, as well as American film maker and loyal friend of the House Sofia Coppola and Australian actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo. The “Mademoiselle Privé” Tokyo experience is extended to three CHANEL boutiques in Tokyo where special windows are exhibited to welcome the walk-in clients to further explore the limitless creativity of CHANEL.
