Rene Caovilla is delighted to announce the launch of its first ever Middle Eastern shoe design competition in partnership with Tea Before Noon. Four talented GCC designers were chosen as finalists to partake in an exciting competition which will allow the winner to have their design brought to life by Rene Caovilla. The purpose of this competition is to highlight the talents of strong, independent local women and incorporate it into the Rene Caovilla brand. The competitors participating in this competition are Suhaila Al Shaali, Ahad bin Haider, Buthaina Fahad, and Dalia Darwish.

The design process for the finalists began with an intensive workshop which was hosted by a Venetian shoe artisan which was specially flown into Dubai by Rene Caovilla to familiarize them with the brand’s history, ethos, vision and techniques. The designs for the competition are all inspired by Rene Caovilla and are showcased on teabeforenoon.com for the public to vote. The winning design will be produced and sold exclusively in the region for six months.

This initiative is another step towards the brand’s dedication to the Middle Eastern market and a way for Edoardo Caovilla to showcase his deep appreciation of the region’s culture and talent. The designers of this competition have been encouraged to merge their own aesthetic with the essence of the Rene Caovilla brand to create a design which brings together the vibrance of the Middle East and the finesse of Italian craftsmanship.
